Coverage
The record lives in a metafield on your store (namespace image_compactor), created by this app on its first successful run. Shop-level metafields have no screen in the Shopify admin, so this page is where you see them.
Every image
Uses the Quality/Resolution/Crop/WebP settings from the Run tab — even images already marked optimized will be redone. Handy when a product has 20 images and you only want to redo, say, 5 of them.
Enhance
Pick image(s), adjust brightness, contrast, and other tone controls, then apply for real.
Crop & transform
Center-crops before resizing. "Original" leaves framing untouched. It's also picked up automatically the next time you run Compress Images or Re-optimize selected.
Resize dimensions
Sets a target box the image is fit into. Only "Contain" is actually applied when you save — Cover and Pad affect the preview only in this version.
Draw on image
Pick one image, sketch callouts, arrows, or notes on it, then save the marked-up copy back to your store.
Select an image on the left to load it onto the canvas — nothing is uploaded until you save.
Background color
Removes the background of the image(s) you pick, then replaces it with a flat color or leaves it transparent.
Generate product image
Pick one image slot to replace, describe a shot, then generate and use the result.
